Stream Walk is a positive and creative community space where groups and individuals can practise, participate and learn about gardening and other related activities. In need of a new indoor space, the community approached students at Centre For Alternative Technology to provide expertise on natural building materials, construction methods and low-energy, passive design.
The cabin proposal has been developed through a series of co-design workshops, providing the volunteer gardeners with the tools, language, and knowledge to design and self-build their own community cabin. We have completed 3 out of the 4 proposed workshops which will then inform the final proposal for submission to planning.
